Sunday painting...

Spent a lot of today so far playing around with paints, catching up on art blog reading, and generally avoiding cleaning up my messy art room.

So... remember this? A bunch of orange, black and white on a 6" x 6" canvas board...

Well this is what it morphed into...

Wormhole

I am calling it "Wormhole".

Question to my painting friends: How do you display these small 6" x 6" canvas boards?

  2. Love how it "morphed"! I am currently working on some 5x7's and I am attaching hangers to the back. My 6x12 wall hangings are hung with hemp cording. Hope that helps. waving hi from the rainy hills of North Carolina ♥

    1. Thanks Sandee! And I appreciate the ideas on how to deal with that size and kind of canvas board. I think I may try to attach some cord and hang it.

  4. Loving that black. Really like this :-)

I've a couple of canvas boards I keep meaning to frame. Those I've received off other people in swaps or whatnot nearly always come with a ribbon on back to hang them. The smaller ones (around 6x4ish) I've attached magnets to and hung on the side of my fridge as a sort of mini gallery. (The side of my fridge faces my desk - so I get to see lovely art all the time.)

  6. Love what it became. A bunch of them hung together act as a large piece for a wall. Table top you could try those little plate stands that unfold and hold a plate propped up, should work for a canvas board.

    1. Thanks for the ideas Leslie! I will have to now just find a table clear enough to top! LOL Maybe the hanging idea would work better! Might have to add an art shelf here in my art room!

I wish I could help with advise for displaying, but I'm no artist.

  14. I really love your painting. Can see it hanging on my wall! Would love to see it as a large painting too.
As for displaying a group of smaller ones - I would hang them as a group close together (not touching) to form a new artwork in itself.
Thank you so much for sharing your art on Mandarin Orange Monday:))

    1. Thanks Lori! I have made another one actually that is 8" x 10" -- just playing around with the lines, I will post it here later... but I have now realized I love this kind of painting and plan to do more, and work my way into larger! Thanks for stopping by again!
