Grow Your Blog Party 2015

Welcome to Full Circle, a ragtag mix of mostly paper and textile arts and crafts, painting, yoga, photos, travels, thoughts and quotes, an occasional recipe and other assorted nonsense! Today is GROW YOUR BLOG Sunday!

If you are here for the first time and came via the Blog Party, I welcome you and would like to thank you for dropping by! My name is Rhonda and I am blogging from Sacramento, California.

I am a recently retired middle school science teacher and now that I have more time, have gotten back into the arty side of my life. I have been doing some form of art most of my life and now I am finding I want to do everything! So I divide my time with some painting, art journaling, crocheting, natural dyeing, bookbinding, sewing and quilting. When did I ever have time to work before? I think the best way to see what my blog is all about is to scroll down through the posts. As you can see it is a bit eclectic!

It is time for Vicki's Grow Your Blog Party and this year I am participating! This is my second year to participate. Her "GROW YOUR BLOG" event is designed "to bring more readers and FOLLOWERS to our blogs. The premise is simple-- just visit as many blogs as you wish and sign up to follow those that interest you. In turn, all the other folks will be doing the same thing~ we will all be growing our blogs!" Last year she had over 500 people sign up! I visited a bunch of cool sounding blogs and found many I still follow today -- not all arts and crafts or cooking, but some just an interesting life somewhere else. So I am hoping some of you will visit my blog and find things you like that will keep you interested in more. Either way, I am so thrilled you have stopped in and would love to hear from you!

One of the keys to discovering new blogging friends is to leave a comment, which I always do when I visit a new blog for this kind of event. So please feel free to leave me a comment below if you are visiting for the first time or a repeat visitor! And of course, always feel free to follow or subscribe to my blog. If you use a blog reader, please add my blog to your reader. I usually post a couple of times a week. Welcome to my blog today! I hope I will see you again in the future!

  5. Hi Rhonda - it's lovely to meet you here through the Blog Hop today ... I love your art - Art journalling fascinates me, but I don't quite know what to do with it, so I"m going to follow along for a while and see if I get inspired and at least get cheered up by all your lovely colour :)

    1. Hi Fil, thanks for stopping by! I think the thing I love about art journaling is that it doesn't really need to have anything done with it -- it just exists for me as a creative outlet in itself. I am happy to find your blog as well -- I love Ireland and Irish music! I look forward to exploring more of your talents!

  6. Hi Rhonda,
I am visiting from grow your blog party. I have just started following you and am looking forward to seeing more of you in the coming year. I almost always comment when I visit as well and I always return a comment to anyone who comments on my blog. It seems more like a little conversation that way.

  16. I stopped by because I wanted to see about your dyeing techniques. Then I scrolled down and saw we are both on WOYWW together. What fun, and I didn't even realize it. Sometimes all we see are desks, but don't learn much else about the other person.

Loved the visit and look forward to seeing more of your incredible art. Glad I stopped by from GYB. http://alteredbooklover.blogspot.com/2015/01/grow-your-blog-blog-hop-event.html

    1. Hi! Thanks for stopping by the blog! I think a lot of us are more interconnected through our art these days and it is so great to discover that when we read each other's blogs! I am also interested in seeing your eco-dying projects. That has become a fascination for me lately and I plan on trying it out more in the spring this year.

  28. Hi Rhonda - don't you love the way all the Aussies have arrived together and late?!!! It's because we're all enjoying the last weeks of summer, been rushing around as school went back today, and we're all exhausted watching the tennis until the wee hours of the morning... massive generalisations here but you get my gist!!
I did what you suggested and had fun looking at your previous posts, I like eclectic and am your latest follower.. I love the poem your yoga teacher read at the start of the year and your inspirational quotes!
Hope you are having a great week

  30. Hi Rhonda
It's lovely to meet you at Vicki's GYB party!
Like you, I enjoy dabbling in many crafts, especially creating collage, both fabric and paper journals and quilting!
I love the idea of wrapping bangles with sari ribbon too – maybe you can point me in the direction of a “how to” and a good place to source the sari ribbon!
It's lovely meeting and getting to know like minded souls from around the world.

Enjoy the party - I'm now following you and I'll be back to visit again once the party quietens down!
    Hugs
    Shane
