Last year I took part in Vickie's Grow Your Blog party to help arty type folks expand their blog audience. It was a great way to not only find a few new readers for my own blog but also I found several new blogs that I am still following today. So when it came around again this year I decided to do it again. It will start on Sunday, when over 500 people with creative arts blogs will all post a Grow Your Blog post. I look forward to visiting more blogs and finding new online arty friends.
In the meantime, I have been thinking a lot about all the art I have been doing and wanted to find where I had put the photos for it online. This has made me think about -- sometime when I have spare time -- that I need to reorganize the photos on my computer and get rid of old things (like school lesson plans) that I no longer need.
I made a little mosaic of a few of the things I have done in the last year or two, favorite journal pages, mail art postcards, paintings, textiles...

Grids of photos are always fun. Yours show lots of orange, yellow, and flowers.
ReplyDeleteI must have quit following her cause got no notice of blog party but too busy anyway. Have fun!
It is interesting to see my colors when they are all in a grid... I never realized I used so many light bright colors!
DeleteOoh, what a great idea! I've found in just under three years (I think) blogging, that at each new challege like this, you might get one or two new followers. And it takes a long time but it all adds up, for sure. I am surprised this is the first I've heard of it, because it looks like it was announced last October and it is now too late join. Alas! LOL.
ReplyDeleteTerrific collection of art you posted! It's so nice to see a grouping and to be able to appreciate so many things you've accomplished. It's so wonderfully colorful! (I also need to re-organize but I don't want to think about that today.) :)
Thanks Cindy! Actually I also found out about it 3 years ago and had missed the deadline that first year by just a few days too! LOL But it was fun last year so why not try it again! I actually got around 20 new followers last year so who knows... my aim to to be able to make a blog I enjoy and would enjoy finding, and if other people find it, then great!
DeleteVery fun looking at the variety of mediums used. When I come up with an art idea, there's usually a specific medium the goes best with that idea. Often I combine them because I like the textural look and feel it gives.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Yes I tend to mix mediums too, no end to the experimenting and playing one can do!!
