I was looking in an old art journal from many years ago (this page was dated October 2006) and I found this entry that I have always liked. I thought I would post it here, guess I am still seeking...
Thanks Rinda. They are both rubber stamp alphabets which I have had for ages, not sure who made them. I love the Out of focus one especially! Thanks for visiting my blog for Glue it Tuesday!
Thanks Dawn... I really like how the color was off from the printout of my photo (those lines you get when a color of ink is running low)... And yes sometime we are our best teachers but often as not I find we don't listen (to ourselves) very well ... as least for me.
Thanks aimee... the strange thing is that reading some of my older journal pages brings me not only back to then but I see a lot of it still now... I do remember making that page though because I was away at some workshops and had a lot of inspiration that weekend! Thanks for coming by!
Thanks so much for leaving a comment on my post! I really appreciate that you took the time to take a look! It also gives me a chance to get to know your blog and find new art friends! Please feel free to join my blog with Google+ as well.
I think we are always seeking and when we don't find, we are definitely out of focus. That's a great page Rhonda. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I appreciate your comments Gloria!
DeleteI really like the "out of focus" and "Seek" fonts.
ReplyDeleteHappy GIT!

DeleteI like the muted coloration. Amazing how we are our own best teachers.
ReplyDeleteHappy day to you,

What a beautiful page! I like these lines and the shabby look.
ReplyDeleteThanks! The black lines (now that I remember) are made from a pizza slicer rolled through black paint! Of all things!
DeleteThis is a wonderful page, and I love the message. That out of focus place can lead to such amazing shifts.
ReplyDeleteWe just have to be open to those shifts! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI can see why you like this page so much. It has a certain amount of heart and soul on the page..a knowing.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susie. I appreciate the comment!
Delete"Something not quite right"; is that a eye glasses lense we're looking through? Very intense piece.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting thought! Good point! Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteLovely page!
ReplyDeleteThanks Andria!
DeleteI love the depth you have created with your shadowing. Very stunning and thoughtful artwork.
ReplyDeleteThanks Rossie. I appreciate your comments!
DeleteVery insightful... and I bet re-reading it years later takes you right back to the moment you created it!
