Playing with more gelli prints...

Started doing up a bunch of lighter colored gelli prints for additions to art journal pages and scanned one to test out how it scanned. I didn't like the plain scan all that much so I started playing with the colors in PaintShopPro (my cheapo version of Photoshop) and made a mosaic in BigLabs to see some of the various colors I adjusted it to. The darkest one I made a negative of the colors. I have not played around with PSP for a long time and I had forgotten a lot of the cool things it can do, so I think I will be playing with it a bit in the coming weeks.

This was the original scan:

  1. PSP really changes how your wonderful print looks- how cool to be able to get such different looks from one print! So glad you shared this with the party!

  2. As if the gelli plate wasn't cool enough, you can really go nuts in a photo program! I actually like the original quite a bit but I also like the bottom left and right.

    1. Yeah and I don't even have the "good" one! But I am not so much into digital stuff so even easy stuff is a new challenge for me. I like the colorized ones too... amazing what a little change in color can do to a print!

  3. I scan all my favorite gelli prints so I can play with them later in my Photoshop Elements. Great fun isn't it! And combinations can be endless. Thanks for sharing, yours are wonderful!

  4. Computers are amazing! How great to get all these effects with one scan (which was pretty terrific on its own!). Coming over from MOM.

    1. Thanks for visiting Jessica! They (computers) are but I tend to enjoy the process myself of making the different colors rather than altering them digitally, still I guess there is room for both!

    1. Hmmm that is weird, I could have sworn that I added it this morning when I added links. Probably forgot to save it and it is still sitting there on my home computer waiting politely to be saved! LOL No worries, I just added it now so it should be fine now. Thanks so much for letting me know it wasn't there!
