So this is what is on my desk today until I have more time to do more watercolors. This is from a VIDEO I saw from Whitney Ferre (one of the 21 Secrets teachers but this was a separate video on You Tube), where you just doodle or scribble with watercolors. It is so out of my box that I am trying it just to see if I can do it. My first instinct is to grab the markers and go that route, so these last couple of nights I have been playing with the flow of watercolor, looking for a more zen-like approach.
Anyway, my desk as I last saw it while I pondered my results...

Deleteoh Yes! Paint...so much fun!! I used to paint as a child round my mum's friend's house great fun she always would say packing up in ten minutes, so use up that paint on your pallet. And she always said we (me and her daughter) had to make the best masterpieces with just the colours we had left. Looking back I remember such fabulous creations of every day things painted in swirls of left over colours. Wish there'd been digi cameras, computers and scanners back then! Have a great crafty week HapPy WoYwW!?!

DeleteFun, I have been trying to get out of my comfort zone as well, I have this things about perfection but how do you ever get better and grow unless you throw all caution to the wind and go for it; so good for you!! Happy crafting!
ReplyDeleteKim #!!!
Good for you Kim! I know what you mean, sometimes you just have to go for it! I understand the perfection thing, it argues with me a lot too! Glad you stopped by my blog!
DeleteI'm like you - I always reach for the markers first. Very good idea to make yourself work with the medium. You can't improve if you don't do it. :-)
